Now that you know my name you probably want to know a little more about me huh? I have a wonderful wife, 3 amazing daughters and another little one on the way. I keep myself busy by chasing screaming kids around my house, watching movies, listening to music, playing video games once in a while and fixing whatever is wrong with the house, our cars, etc.

I’ve been on the internet since 1999 and since that time have been learning all sorts of interesting stuff. When I was 15 I had an Apple IIc to tinker around with. As soon as I could buy my own computer at 17 I went out to Gateway and plopped down some money for a fancy new computer. A blazing fast 433 Destination. I immediately got online and became really interested in how to make websites. I started out by making small pages about random subjects just to understand the whole process better. Ever since I’ve been learning more and more.

About the site

I’ve kept a pretty low profile on the internet for some time. I managed to learn how to make sites but I was never quite interested in doing it for money and/or maintaining websites on a long-term basis. I decided that I wanted to break that habit and to stake out my own little spot on the web. This site is about my thoughts relating to relevant topics such as website design, website development and everything in between, to random thoughts bouncing around my head about killer squirrels and jumping beans.

I designed the site with simplicity in mind. Every single thing on this site is here because it has a purpose. That’s my biggest pet peeve - sites that offer so much more than you really need or want. Sure little gadgets are nice, but that’s just not what I’m interested in when I go to other sites. If I’m on a site, I’m there because I’m looking for something specific, and I don’t want anything to get in the way of me finding it. My goal was a site that is simple, easy to navigate, and relevant.

My Background

I’ve had high school english and one college course on writing. My style of writing is a a very unpolished stream-of-consciousness method. I type out my thoughts and hit publish. Why lament over your words and go out of your way to edit your thoughts? This is my blog, if you’ve come to listen to what I think we’ll have a good time. If you came here for perfect punctuation and grammer you’ll be a little disappointed.

As for my technical qualifications, I’m proficient in

• Table-less, semantic and accessible coding
• Wordpress template creation and alteration

I’m constantly working in Fireworks and I’m employed in the IT industry so I’m pretty good with computers.
